Good Box - more secure than your glovebox Jun 06, 2011
By CyberDoctor I have both the Club LB200 Personal Vault Security Lock Box and the SentrySafe AS-1 Autosafe. This is one of those cases where I wish there was a product that incorporated the best of both as neither is perfect. This is a comparison of the two:
Pros SentrySafe:
The SentrySafe is the more sturdy of the two and the cable remains attached while it is opened. All security features are internal.
Cons SentrySafe:
The SentrySafe is taller and will not fit under the car seat. The SentrySafe has a narrow width and barely holds a 2-inch J-frame revolver. The cable is fairly short. I had to add a second cable to the SentrySafe to be able to move it to the front seat while still attached.
Pros Club LB200:
The Club LB200 is larger in width, shorter in height, seems to holds more, and will fit under the car seat. The cable on the Club LB200 is about 8 inches longer which is nice in a full size SUV when you reach over to the back seat to retrieve the box. Those 8 inches really make a difference.
Cons Club LB200:
The cable on the Club LB200 must be removed in order to open the box; however, I prefer the ability to easily detach the box and bring it into the front seat without the cable. The cable anchor is what the lock latches onto; meaning that there is an external part that can effect the security of the box if compromised.

Better than a glove box Jun 10, 2011
By R. W. Roberts I just picked this up at an auto parts store for $12.00.. brand new!! What luck!
Some have posted the con about having to remove the cable plug to gain access... it is not really a big deal. It is rather easy to to and takes but a second. The pro to the plug is that it is large and prevents the drawer from being forced out.
Please keep in mind that this is not for every day use and quick access. It is primarily intended to keep a valuable item inside your car while you are away during a smash and grab. Most criminals are not going to hang out trying to force it open or cut the cable. They want to be in and out before the cops are called.
The inner box is thin and spot welded. If you really want to get in... you can with the right tools.
But....
It is better than the glove box, center console, or under the seat. Those are the spots criminals look when they break in to steal your stuff.

good little safe.... Jul 16, 2011
By karl dressel Bought this to use in my older surf truck that isn't exactly the most secure vehicle....lol. The lock box is not too big, but I can fit my essential valuables and the smaller size lets it fit out of sight under the front seat....wallet, cell phone, sunglasses, ipod, and keys all fit nicely. All in all, good little safe, solid construction and a fair price....also nice that it's removable so it can be used while on vacation in a hotel, hostel, or another vehicle. A+

Car and Travel Safe Jul 13, 2011
By CBL This product is perfect for securing personal items in the car. The size is large enough to accomodate personal items carried while traveling. The tether can be attached to the frame of the front seat and the box fits nicely under the passenger seat. The box could also be used in a dorm room or hotel for that matter.
