Pad has good support, works well for me while driving. Heater would be better with low, medium and high settings. Massage feature is more annoying than useful. Overall, good product for the price..

I bought this cushion after reading favorable reviews on it, for my husband who had recently herniated a couple of lumbar disks. We were facing a long road trip home to see family and I was thinking I'd end up doing all of the driving. Not so! The heated cushion was just the thing to keep hubby happy and pain free for up to 6 hours of driving at a stretch. We were both happy with that outcome. He didn't really use the massage (really vibrate) function much. The heating element and shape of the cushion worked very well on his back. Because it pushes your lower back forward, you will have to put a towel or cushion behind your upper back to keep proper alignment when you use it.

I have DDD and this product gives me the fastest pain relief of any mechanical device I've tried. I like the fact that it DOES NOT contain a self timing shut-off device as many do. The only thing: I wish there was a way of shutting it off without unplugging the transformer... when left plugged into the wall, the transformer gets very hot... even when not in use. This can be overcome with a short extension cord with a switch built in or a switched wall socket.

Pro: Bought this awhile back, worked great, reduced pain in my lower back. Loved the heat and message options.
Con: lasted only slightly more than a month. Now the heat function works but not message. Makes a loud motor noise.

The picture with this item is misleading as well as the written discription. The written discription indicates you can use this in your home or office and the picture shows the adaptor that would allow this. When the cushion arrived it had a different looking adaptor that could only work in a car. When I came back to Amazon I noticed that this was being sold as an auto accessory and the adaptor that was for home use was sold separately.
So don't make my mistake. If you want a lumbar cushion to use at home you might want to consider a different one.
