Finely a quality sun visor Mar 18, 2011
By Synchromash The Trillium TWI-6001 SunBlaster Dual-Lens Glare Shield appears to be well built, although I have only used if for a couple of months so it's possible that the hinges may loosen up with wear. It is constructed of Lexan, a type of plastic that is very durable and should not become distorted by the high temperatures typical of car interiors in the summer. The visor clips hold well on my visors and have about 9 3/4 inches clearance between them so they don't interfere with the visor mirror.
The top shield is 3 1/2 inches high by 11 1/2 inches wide and is a light gray color. The bottom visor is a darker gray and hinged to the top one so it can swing down to increase the total shield height to 6 1/2 inches. When the bottom is folded up against the top shield, the combination is quite dark, allowing three different levels of shielding.
While the price of this product is higher than many other sun shields, I feel it is worth the cost because it works the way I expect and doesn't annoy me every time I use it.

Does the job... Apr 20, 2011
By Henry Barnes
"Torleeha"
I bought this for my son, for when he is riding in the front seat of my car. He is young, so at times the car's sun visor will not protect his eyes if we are driving directly toward the sun when it is low in the sky. The main interstate near us, which we use to get into or out of town, is oriented directly east-west, so we encounter this problem often.
The product definitely does the job for my son. It flips down, and has an additional section which can be flipped even further down for extremely low-in-the-sky sun situations. It seems to hold its place pretty snugly on the car visor, too. My only complaint is that it has a scary snapping noise when the visor is flipped down, making both of us wonder if we have broken something. The product 'snaps' when it changes notches during adjustment, so that seems to be a normal thing. And, it helps it remain fixed in the selected position. If this product ever breaks when I am adjusting its position, I will come back and update this review, otherwise you can assume that this is not a problem.

Helps prevent neck strain and tension headaches! Nov 21, 2011
By Nikki I bought this because, as a five foot three inch woman, sun visors just don't come down far enough to do me much good. I wear prescription sunglasses when I drive, but some days when there is no cloud cover at all, even that doesn't help. My long commute was causing me to strain my neck to avoid glare and my tension headaches were increasing.
I still wear my sunglasses while driving, and flip the visor down when needed. It clips on and causes no damage to the car visor, and doesn't interfere with the visor's mirror, either. The one thing that annoyed me is that the glare was still a bit much when the sun shone directly where the visor began. I found myself wishing for about one inch more solid visor space before the transparent visor began. After that first drive, I decided to put a strip of black electric tape on the outside top of the sun visor- problem solved, for pennies!

car sun glare shield by Trillium TWI-6001 Oct 05, 2011
By cliffhanger7 The bifold concept is not practical. it is obstrusive to operate and not good when you are driving. you need two hands to get it positioned else it will move off it's mounting position. it is obstrusive because unless the second panel is set flat to the first, it takes too much space in front of you. a better way would be to make it a slider from the basic panel instead of the bifold design. it does work when in position but i think i will stick to the head sun visors for convenience and simpler use.

Trillium Sun Blaster May 23, 2011
By Corleen Chang
"Princess and the Pea"
I intalled the Sun Blaster the way the instructions said to, however, my visor is shorter than the distance of the Sun Blaster's clips, so I ended up putting it on backwards. It works, but the plastic makes the road look a little warped. I got nervous since I was traveling at a good clip, so I removed it. I'm going to have to wait and see when the sun is right in my eyes to see if this product really does what it says it will, and to make sure I feel comfortable driving with it. I may just end up putting it on the passenger's visor.
