fun! Aug 20, 2010
By W. Loomis ready to roll out of the box, no set up required. Very fun and durable, drives in rain, fairly high grass, loves dirt, check out a ton of youtube videos on this car to see what it can do, you will be surprised.

Worth the money, and then some! Feb 02, 2011
By houndawgbp I have been an avid RC car enthusiast for ages. Let me tell you, going from store bought rc cars, to hobby shop style, I have been missing out! Got mine the end of Jan with my tax return for myself, and my sons future toy as well. Worth every penny! You take it out of the box, charge the battery (I had extra lying around), hook it up and take off! The 4WD makes it the ultimate toy! I have the "Ultimate edition / Greg Adler series" and I was taking it thru puddles, jumping ruts and ditches, and running it full out on the first run. The range of the 2.4 Ghz transmitter/receiver makes it out to about 300/400 yards, probably more! Dont hesitate, get it!

This isn't your kids RC Car! Jan 22, 2011
By Jose Avila This is my first REAL RC car and it is wicked. Out of the box you might be overwhelmed by the instructions, parts, setup options but really unless you're hardcore into RC racing its ready to go out of the box, just charge the batter for the recommended 8 hours. BUT invest in the 50 dollar EZ Peak Charger, this reduced your charge time to 45 minutes! that's a BIG difference my friend. This car only does about 40mph, which is fast enough if its your first car, you get much more reaction time when you accidentally turn sharply towards a wall :P but even then its tough! Ive drifted it into a wall, flipped it doing doughnuts, and im sure It'll take a lot more damage. I dont even mind the scratched made to frame, makes it look more authentic if you ask me. It's ridiculous fun just taking it full speed and drifting around a C turn (took me some time to get it right) its even more fun taking it off road and in the dirt, It can even handle MUD and RAIN since the whole truck is waterproof (havent tested this yet, but I can't wait) The only down side is the battery power lasts about 30 minutes, that's why I recommend you invest in that EZ Peak Charger. I hope this helps and convinces you to purchase one of your own, lots of fun!

Slash w/brushless is just sick! Jan 11, 2011
By M. PORTER What a phenomenal car. This car can run on the interstate on a lipo 11.1 volt 3s. One suggestion.....add the 20$ sway bars for much better handling. You will be smoking the other cars with this beast!

Great Stadium/Racing Radio Control Truck! Apr 05, 2011

I cannot find any negatives about this truck at all. Charge up the battery and you are ready to go. It is that simple. And it is quite fast for a single battery truck. I also have a Traxxas gas truck, an HPI gas truck, a CEN gas truck and a Traxxas E-Maxx. Two things I really like about this truck is that first it is waterproof and it is also Brushless. You can upgrade it to an 11.1v Lipo battery and then it will fly (well almost).
It comes with 1 Traxxas 8.4v NiMh 3000 mah battery pack, much better than what everyone else supplies with their RTR Electric Cars/Trucks. And I was able to buy 2 more battery packs for under $50!. My nephew bought one at the same time and we raced at a nearby R/C dirt track with huge double and triple jumps and tight banked turns. We went through 6 batteries running for more than a couple hours (with breaks). The Slash was a lot of fun, with great acceleration and handling. We ran them straight out of the box, no adjustments, no break-in, no assembly, just put in a battery and go! After all than running the only problem was some wear to the paint on the body above the tires. Probably caused by all the jumps, so if you are going to run on a similar track then you might want to tighten the suspension a little. But other than that there were no other problems and we hit each other a few times and flipped over quite a few times. A very rugged truck.
If you are getting tired of Gas RC Cars/Trucks, then the Slash 4x4 is for you. If you are just getting into RC Trucks and want an outstanding starter truck then the Slash 4x4 is for you. A lot of fun and very reliable with parts available everywhere.
Keep in mind though that on Traxxas products, there is essentially No Warranty. While Traxxas claims the electronics are warranteed for life, it will cost you to exchange the electronics. The power button stuck on the ESC and it cost me $55 to get it exchanged and the truck was only about 3 months old! If you have no problems then the Slash is the best stadium type truck but HPI Racing has a real warranty.
