Great for travel/baby on the go! May 07, 2009
By K. Lester

We got this for a trip to grandma's, involving 2 flights, 3 different hotels, a rental car and 5 states... and what a huge help when we didn't have a highchair available. It is tiny when folded up in it's little bag (which is attached so it won't get lost, A+ to the super-human who thought of that) and easily fits into a diaper bag or large purse. It has fit on every chair we tried and keeps our 10 month old (who is BIG at 23 lbs) safe and happy. Wish we'd have gotten it sooner, when our "little" guy was smaller, would have been great in a shopping cart for that in-between time when they want to sit up and look around but aren't 100% stable sitting yet.

Not for toddlers Feb 20, 2010

"disappointed consumer"
Hello Recently purchased 2 Snazzy Travel Chairs with the hope of using them for my 18 months old grandchildren in shopping carts. It is advertised to fit a baby/toddler/child up to 35 lbs. The item is well made but it is SMALL......I cannot see how this device could fit any baby/toddler over 9--12 months old. Also, a toddler can easily take the shoulder straps off their shoulders and stand up. This item should be targeted towards babies in the 6-9 month category. If it was manufactured to be sized for an older child , and the shoulder straps more secure, it would be great.

Ingenious!!! Nov 12, 2009
By J. Cotton This product is amazing! I traveled for a month this past summer with my 9 month old son and had no room in my suitcase for a regular booster seat. When I found the Snazzy Baby it was advertised as "the highchair that fits in a diaper bag," and that is exactly what it is! I have used it on nearly every kind of chair from high bar stools, to dining chairs, to arm charms. Honestly, I have yet to find a chair it doesn't fit. In the case of hard back chairs I simply put a pillow between the chair and my baby and it worked perfectly. My son was comfortable and safely strapped in due to the four-point harness. I thought for sure there would be safety issues with slipping but due to the non-skid bottom it always stayed put! The other great thing is that it is completely machine washable and turns inside-out into its own carrying case so there is no fiddling with a separate bag. My son is now a year old and we still use the Snazzy Baby for travel! Oh...and you can't beat the price!

Not for squirmers. Oct 07, 2011
By Stylist This seat should work, provided that your baby is not a squirmer and is wider at the shoulders or chubbier. The chair used should be heavy. Also if the chair back is narrower on the bottom than the top (and your kid wriggles), it causes the top seat strap to fall lower, leaving your kid in an awkward schlump. Our vigorous wiggler nearly toppled the chair, travel seat and all, weighing only 15lbs. Because our babe was too narrow, the shoulder straps kept sliding off. I did like that the seat was designed to fold up into itself with the attached carry case, so no losing small parts. I returned this item.

So glad I got this! Sep 01, 2011

This product is one of those things that comes along once in a while that made me want to personally shake the creator/inventor/designer's hand and say, "nice work".
I use a Bumbo at home to feed my 7-month-old daughter instead of a high chair because, frankly, we don't have the floor space for yet another baby item with a monster footprint. However, taking a Bumbo (with tray) on an airplane for a trip meant a 2nd suitcase and 3-4 lbs. added to my pack-mule like load. Since the Bumbo is not collapsible, compact, light, or easy to travel with, I went to my second option, which was a gifted Phil &Ted's "portable" highchair that I received at my shower. However, it had the following limitations: 1) it's heavy (3.5-4 pounds), whereas this one is about as heavy as a deck of cards; 2) it was bulky, whereas this one collapses to the size of about 2 soda cans, but since it has no hard edges, it can be squished down into the smallest little packet; 3) it was recalled, and therefore I have to wait for the recall kit to come in the mail now (which will be after my trip); 4) it didn't fit on all tables, whereas this one, so far, has been useable on 90% of the chairs I have tried out.
Some of the things I found while using this over the last few days, as I am on my trip now: 1) It holds the baby amazingly secure if you tighten the straps well enough. My daughter is normally a wiggler and didn't/couldn't wiggle away in this. 2) It is VERY light weight and easy to carry. I have put it in my diaper bag and, while it does take up some space, I haven't noticed it being in the way at all. 3) I have found that I need to put a cushion behind the baby before I strap her into the chair if the chair is hard-backed (not upholstered), as most chairs in restaurants that are kid-friendly are not. This, for me, was an easy fix because I just so happen to have a broken tailbone and have to travel with a special chair cushion all the time, so I just used that behind her. However, once I get home, I'm sure I'll put a travel pillow in my car so that I will have one to cushion the back of her head when we are out at restaurants; 4) It doesn't work on all chairs, but almost all that I've tried. It fits on all chairs that have either center vertical or continuous horizontal back support of some kind, even if it's just a thin wrought iron bars or thin slats of wood. I have a Danish modern table and chairs set from the late 50's at home that it won't work with. The chairs have only one horizontal piece of wood for back support which means that for adults sitting in our chairs, the area below their shoulder blades and down to the seat is exposed (like this: [...]), so that is the only chair limitation I've run into. 5) Cleans easily. My daughter spit up on it yesterday and it wiped off no problem. I did find when it arrived in the mail that it felt weirdly slick, like it had some kind of coating on the material, and I didn't like the way my hands felt after touching it, so I laundered it and air dried it and it was fine and didn't have that weirdness to it afterward as much as it did before. 6) Seems comfortable. My daughter doesn't like the car seat at ALL and doesn't like being restrained but she was calm as a cuke in this and seemed to enjoy it. I'll be uploading photos at some point of her sitting in different chairs to show you (all with the cushion behind her and a burp cloth beneath her that I added to each). She seems happy because she was comfortable and secure, I think. I even fed her in one with this seat and it worked nicely.
I can't wait to try it out on a grocery cart. All in all, a fantastic product well worth the low price. Highly recommend.
