Very poorly made! Jun 19, 2007
By Ernest W. Young Looking at the images and description of this product, it seems well made, but it is not. Actually, I cannot remember seeing such a poorly made product in a long time! The legs on the bottom look like bare metal, but mine came with silver paint. When attaching them to the base using the four wing nuts, I noticed they had very large slots instead of holes. This way the manufacturing tolerances could be so wide and still allow you to put it together. The pieces in the rear, used for cable management and for attaching a hub, barely fit and are almost falling off!
To me Rolodex now means junk!

Very poorly made Oct 15, 2009
By Joe C. This item was just provided for our office, and requires minor assembly. The stand seems sturdy, but assembly is a nightmare due to the low quality of the small screws at the underbelly of the stand.
The screws are threaded very poorly; screwing on the provided wing nuts is a gamble. Some of my coworkers could screw on one out of four wing nuts. Others could screw on two. I myself could hardly screw on any of the four. In some cases, the screws broke off or would not catch the wing nuts at all.
In all, this product seems to have a low price because of very cheat craftsmanship, and to me such a gamble isn't worth the money. I'd advise to get something a bit higher end, without such high-risk of being a lemon out of the box.

Cheap Craftsmanship and Missing Parts! Mar 03, 2010
By Bob K. Cronk I bought two of these for our office. There is some assembly but one of the stands was missing two wingnuts and the other one didn't come with wingnuts at all! I don't like hassling with returns so I went to the local hardware store and that took care of it. Both stands had leftover glue where they glued on the Rolodex logo plate. Very shoddy. But they do indeed hold up my monitors and you can fit papers under neath for extra storage.

I purchased this Monitor stand from Amazon about three weeks ago, and found that it does exactly what is is suppose to do...hold the monitor. I have no problems with it.
Expensive but good May 02, 2011

I didn't want to pay $$ for this thing, but I didn't really have a choice. Everything else seemed even more over priced so I bought this one. It serves its function (I use it for a laptop). It was kind of a pain to put to together because of the wing-nut and bolt construction but you only have to deal with that once. I use it at work else I could not have justified the price.
