I'm in the minority here; I was not impressed with this set.
1. Yes, it is microfiber - on the outside, but the inside of each case is vinyl. This was a major disappointment for me.
2. This set is square (I suppose I purchased too hastily to notice - my bad), and will fit extra-large place settings. The china I needed to store is older (circa early 1950's) and not oversized at all. Therefore, the cases seem too big for the pattern. I think the cases leave too much wiggle room for my purpose, or my satisfaction. If your pattern is square, or large diameter, you will probably be more pleased.
3. I know the plate separators in all storage sets are notoriously small and thin, but these seemed profoundly so.
4. I like the extra cases for serving pieces. This is an unusual feature, but very nice.
5. I decided to keep this storage set, but I probably would not purchase a second set. I prefer Whitmor Khaki China Storage Set, even though it does not have the extra storage cases for serving pieces.

These covers are nice and thick, well padded. Ample size for even my large round plates. I love that the 8 piece set had extra pieces for use for platters and serving dishes. Zippers work well, and window in front is nice to view contents. Yes, the pads supplied for placing between dishes is thin, but I have 2 other sets and they all use the material. This was a good choice.

Purchased for storing Christmas China. Works great as expected. I just wish platter and bowl storage pieces were larger. Will be purchasing storage piece for stemware as well.

Soft luxury storage cases Oct 08, 2010

I brought these cases to store some spode china and fiestaware for a move (while I prefer another brand)this assortment was nice but it was hard to tell if everything pictured was included and not everything came with the cardboard supports. For long term storage I would not recommend these but for short term -yes they will work.

This is my second set of this china storage product. It is well-made and provides adequate protection for my dishes. The padding is good and there were enough pieces in two sets to accommodate my large collection of Christmas Spode.
I plan to buy more sets for my other china as I believe this is a good bargain, well worth the money.
