Classic, but hard to push. May 23, 2011
By Melissa M Pfannenstiel I bought this trike for my daughter who is almost 2, but long legged and physically agile. I really liked that there was no plastic, and it had that classic look. She obviously cannot ride a trike by herself yet, so we had to push her. I didn't know what features I wanted UNTIL I got this trike and it didn't have them. I really wish that the front pedals had a coast feature. They will pedal even if you are just pushing, so my daughter's pants kept getting caught up in them. She couldn't just rest her feet on them and got frustrated and wanted off. Also, the handle is for pushing only, not steering. If you want to steer, you have to push down so the front wheel is lifted and turn the back wheels. Like "popping a wheelie." Not fun at all. Especially since there is no seat back. And if your child moves the handlebars while you're pushing, you shoot off in that direction. There is a weird smell to the trike, like it just came off the powder coating line. Which it probably did, so I can forgive that. Just be sure not to store it in the house.
If your child knows her way around a trike and just needs some pushing uphill, this would be great. I wouldn't recommend for little guys and novices though. I returned it for a different Radio Flyer trike with the features I was looking for.

The cutest first tricycle for any little girl! Nov 02, 2010
By Luisa My baby girl is turning 2 in a month and when she first received it she was so excited. She is now leaning how to maneuver and petal, haven't got a hang of it yet that's why I like the handle that I can push her until she learns, its also very easy to take the handle of. Im not sure how sturdy it will be once she learns how to petal by her self but so far it seems good. I love the color of the bike its a bubble pink just like in the photo. The bike does have a toxic smell to it when you first open the box but only for the first few days as we let it air out on the balcony The bike is very easy to put together
A must have for any little princess as her first bike....its simply adorable

so far so good Jun 23, 2010
By wiggy only had the radio flyer tricycle for a few weeks but it seems great, looks great, has a curiously pungent chemical smell...still. slightly more tippy than i imagined but so far so good, my little girl likes being pushed around, hopefully she will get the hang of pedaling soon!

Not well made, returning it. Feb 12, 2011
By Jonathan Sprenke After putting it all together and trying it we decided to return it. It was missing one of the long screws and bolts, which made the back wobbly. Easy enough to go to the hardware store and find another but the steering wheel could not be tightened enough to not keep coming loose! No matter how much we tightened it, after using it for a minute the steering wheel came off alignment again making it impossible to steer and really not safe. So... we had to take it all back apart again! It's too bad, this is a nice, classic looking trike but I don't think Radio Flyer's quality is what it used to be.

Radio Flyer Girls Classic Pink Tricycle with Push Handle Oct 19, 2011
By James Woodruff [[ASIN:B003AVEMGY Radio Flyer Girls Classic Pink Tricycle with Push Handl
I ordered this Trike directly from Quidsi, Inc., at the time Amazon couldn't match the price and I still got free shipping. Yes, the rubbery-plastic-synthetic compound the tires are made of stinks, really stinks. There is no mention of this, or how to eliminate it, in the instructions or on Radio Flyer's web site. Keep it in an unused room, garage, or covered outside, if saving for Christmas. Or tell your friends you have found the most amazing room freshener. Might call it, Moments of Toasted Rubber.
Well built, easy to assemble and haven't had any of the negatives mentioned in other reviews. I believe calling the "Push Handle", a PUSH HANDLE, is misleading. It is a safety device, for guiding, stopping and keeping junior out of trouble. This is a trike, not a stroller. If the child can't reach the peddles, do as my dad did, temporarily mount some wooden blocks on the peddles.
Radio Flyer, just like back in the day, even if it is pink.
