Make it a white board. Feb 19, 2011
By J.Lane
"Bornagainscholar"
I enjoy this product because you can make a white board anywhere you want to. I have covered a section of my desk, the door to my freezer, and turned an old mirror in a white board, the possibilities are endless. As far as the writing and erasing goes, I am satisfied. Some inks have come off easier than others but they have all come off with some effort. It has been easy to install and I have had very little problem removing it if I didn't like where I put it. I am not sure I would be happy to be using it instead of a fine quality board in a classroom but for my purposes it is a good product. I feel I have definitely gotten my moneys worth and am not disappointed in the quality at all.

Shorted Jan 03, 2012
By Michael G. Smith I bought this product Gowrite Dry Erase Rolls, 18" X 6 Feet, White, (AR1806) with misgivings because of the negative reviews, especially the reviews claiming the roll lengths were shorter than the 6 feet clearly stated on the product label. I tend to discount subjective or judgmental complaints (like the product is difficult to apply) because of the individualistic or personal factors influencing the reviewer's opinion. But there's nothing subjective about the product's dimensions. The roll is either 6 feet (72 inches), as claimed on the label, or it isn't.
Mine wasn't. At 5 feet, 6 3/4 inches, my roll wasn't even close to the product's specifications. 5 1/4 inches short! It seems doubtful to me that an error of this magnitude can be attributed simply to quality control in the production process. If the machine can't cut properly, then presumably some other customer received a roll 5 1/4 inches too long. I haven't seen any Amazon reviews adding stars for a Gowrite roll that exceeded the product's specs.
The company making this product is Pacon Corporation. I can't post the company's toll free number here (violates Amazon review guidelines), but the Pacon Corporation url is on the product label, and their web site provides the phone number. I called the company and complained. The representative said they would send me a replacement roll, an offer that I accepted. If enough customers with shorted rolls call the company, eventually they may discover the economic wisdom of finding a cutting machine capable of cutting correct lengths.
If I actually receive a replacement roll, and it's the correct length, I'll try to remember to edit this post accordingly.

Clearly works, but... Jan 24, 2011
By Mobile Student ...It's also clearly for just a one time placement. The product is not meant to stick to a surface, be removed, and then stuck to another surface. If you're just going to keep it in one spot, it's fine, but if you intend to travel with it, like I do, then don't remove the backing like I did. The product will stick to anything, including itself, that touches the sticky side and when you try to unstick it, it's more prone to tear than unstick.

Size NOT as Advertised Dec 02, 2011
By M. C. Thiem
"MkGyver"
Before purchasing this item, I read through all the reviews. So, when mine arrived I was careful to roll it slowly and get out all the air bubbles with a ruler as I went along adhereing the paper to the backboard. Luckily, I was attaching this to PVC board which is very smooth so the application went well. Where I was disappointed was that my two boards are 35 inches long for a total of 70 inches. The roll is advertised to be 6 feet long (or 72 inches). I should have had two inches to spare but ended up six inches short. I was SO frustrated. If you are going to advertise an item at 6 feet, it should be 6 feet! If size matters than beware.

Teacher Who LOVES this Product!! Jul 23, 2010
By Becky Fries I was recently moved into a classroom that had the old fashioned chalkboard which I'm not used too. I was looking for the easiest and most cost effective way to cover the board and remove the white board in the event that I am moved again. I bought one roll to try it and was pleasantly, and extremely happy with the results. The paper goes on smoothly and easily!!! It will pull of as easy as it says in case you need to stop and realign in the hanging process. I have come back to Amazon to purchase more to finish the job once already and since I miscalculated am back to buy more!!! I strongly recommend this product!!!
