Great low cost conversion software May 20, 2011
By Charles E. Kirk I have used NCH software for years and this item is well worth the price if you like keeping all your video media on hard discs and usb drives. Conversion is relatively simple and quick with many options equal to much more expensive software. With the essentials package you get all you need to convert, store and enjoy your digital video media.
Videopad is a good basic editor Mar 13, 2012

Videopad is a good basic editor, for sure.
I watched the two videos, and then imported, edited 2 avchd clips with a transition and a title, with a little sound editing, in under one hour.
I'm an intermediate experienced person with video editing software.
So this is a great deal, including the two other items of software, for short money. If you want a simple editor that gets the job done, this is the way to go.
Maybe a slight downside is if your looking to become more advanced, there are a limited set of features to explore.
I didn't give it five stars because some items you have to goof with a bit to figure them out, but it's a fairly basic, fairly quick to understand editor.

If you need ANY support you might as well FORGET IT! Mar 24, 2011
By Discriminating Buyer in Colorado
"Picky Picky Picky"
This company has ABSOLUTELY ZERO idea how to assist a paying customer. After difficulties with installation I wrote to them. NO response. I again wrote and was lead to a "support site" that said I had to pay $37. for three ten minute email consultations!! I again wrote and explained my situation. I had purchased four of their products and my zero hard drive failed. The replacement ALSO failed 3 weeks later. ALL documented for NCH. ( They didn't care) The backups I made upon original installation would not let me install on the new hard drive. It said "Too many installations". I only want it on ONE single computer. It would not do it. They do NOT care about ANYONE'S problems. They ONLY want to sell software and to sell support. If you are not willing to PAY for support you can forget it. I don't like to be ignored when I have a valid question. I would highly recommend finding a company that will speak to a person that needs assistance. I've been computing since my Radio Shack TRS80 model one. NCH has demonstrated the WORST example of customer service EVER. Their involved activation procedure is ill conceived. NO uninstall is available that I could find. The company is just a MESS.
