Perfect polish/glaze for depth and mirror shine! Jun 02, 2007
By Jerry Jackson Jr. I've used many polishes/glazes over the years on all kinds of cars and I can honestly say this is the best polish/glaze I've found on the market. I've used products like P21S, Klasse, and even Sonus and the Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Professional Show Car Glaze #7 is the best I've found.
If you apply this correctly (in multiple coats if your car has old paint) then it provides a deep, deep gloss before you apply a wax and/or sealant.
The ONLY negative thing I have to say about this polish/glaze is that it smells like chemicals mixed with bird droppings. I really wish Meguiar's made this stuff smell better. That said, if the bad smell is what I have to live with to get this kind of depth/mirror shine then so be it.
Bottom line, if you're looking for a polish/glaze to add depth to your shine before you apply wax, this is what you need to buy.

Outshines the rest Jul 09, 2008
By Colin Mattson I have to admit I was a little put off when I first tested Show Car Glaze on my victim car (my brother's truck): The paint had been maintained only sparingly, and while Show Car Glaze did bring out a nice wet shine, it wasn't the knock-your-socks-off result I'd been expecting. As I experimented with additional applications, though, his paint popped into action before my eyes. My test panel outshined the others to begin with, but after two applications it was brilliant, and after three it was amazing.
On my own, better maintained vehicle, the results were much more immediate and easy to achieve. Slap on some glaze, buff it off, and whammo--that glassy, slick, wet, mirror shine people shoot for. Throw a wax or sealant on top (I'm partial to Meguiar's NXT synthetic sealant) and the results are well worth the minimal investment in time and money.
I didn't find the smell to be off-putting, but the color of the polish is extremely reminiscent of what you find in an infant's diaper.
If you've maintained your car's paint, Show Car Glaze will easily give you a shine like no other. If your paint's a little rough, give it some TLC and Show Car Glaze can do the same for you. Or to crib from Barry Meguiar of Meguiar's, "Frequent car care is easy car care."

Black & White Jul 27, 2010

To be fair, if you own a light-colored vehicle, temper your expectations of the Show Car Glaze with what you have. You'll simply never have the deep, wet paint of a darker vehicle - its the trade off when folks with black rides are having to wash them every few days.
That being said, my Pearl-White Lexus GS430 has NEVER looked better than after a coat of Show Car Glaze, and I take care of it meticulously. A good double-wash, clay bar, glaze and NXT 2.0 wax and it literally stands out from pretty much anything else around it, even with such a light-color. Water appears to bead a little better as well, but it could have nothing to do with the polish.
Bottom line, it won't be night and day difference to some eyes, but even my wife (unsolicited, I might add) asked if I had done something different to my car. For those who are somewhat obsessive about having the absolute best-looking finish on their rides, I recommend you adding this step to your regimen. I imagine a bottle of the Show Car Glaze lasting a long time (except maybe on large SUVs), so for the price especially, its one heck-of a bargain.
Meguiars, you've done it again, both improved the look of my car and forced me to spend more time making it so. Thanks. I think.

I agree with Jerry Apr 06, 2008

I agree with Jerry that the Meguiar's glaze #7 is a very good product. I too have used several different paint cleaning, polishing, glazing and waxing products. I find the Glaze creates a deep reflection in my black paint. The product is not an easy on / off product, so plan some time and have lots of rags for removing the glaze. But the results are worth the time and effort.
Be sure to follow-up with a Meguiar's Gold Wax application and later use the express mist on detail / quick wax prodcut for a continued "wet" shine.
Generally, I like the Meguair's prodcuts - wax's, brushes, towles, liquid car wash and polishes... and the pricing is great.

People please understand and I say this for other products as well not only the one in question? This is in regards to the reviews being left by people. Time and time again reviews are being left were it is obvious without question that the products are being used with out following directions and or understanding them! Don't get me wrong we are not all experts or professionals but with somethings damage sometimes severe may results so please let's try not to use/post without fully reading/understanding & completely using what we are reviewing :) As for this product it is a 'polish' NOT A WAX or a synthetic sealant and DOES NOT OFFER ANY PROTECTION!!! Meaning after its been used properly to apply a WAX! On the label there is a number also a website that is available to answer any questions.
