 Good product, but does not include Tailgate Party May 14, 2010

Before I get to my review, I want to point out that the version of the product I received from my May 8, 2010 order is slightly different than what is described on this page as of May 13, 2010.
First, I love Tailgate Party and one of the big reasons I chose to buy this was because the description indicated that Tailgate Party was included. Unfortunately, the version that arrived does not include that slot game so, beware, if that's a deal breaker for you.
Second, while the description says it is only compatible with Windows up through Vista, the version of the game that arrived is marked on the box as being compatible with Windows 7 as well. I have installed it on our Win 7 PC and it works fine (after I downloaded a patch... see below).
Now to my review of the product that arrived. It loaded fine, but when I first tried to run it, it locked up a few times. I checked the readme file on the disk and it said to check for updates on [...]. There was an update on that page so I downloaded it and the game runs fine now.
These truly are the same slot games you can find in casinos. Rich colors and sounds. If you like them in a casino, you'll like them here. The risk of losing money is removed which can make it more fun than a casino. However, the hope of winning money is also removed which may lessen the fun for some people. Personally, I still find the bonus-type games (eg Texas Tea, Latino Machino) to be fun, but am pretty bored by the traditional machines (eg Triple Diamond) when there's no chance of winning real cash.

This is a good collection of slots, both reelspinners and videoslots. It has given me much fun, the machines are meticulously reproduces, including soundeffect. You see the reels spin in a realistic way, they just dont blur like in other slotgames. Most importantly to me is that these are reproductions of genuine slots, not made ups slots, makebelive slots - but the slots you actually find in casinos. It gives the game an aura of authenticity that no other company can offer I think. Thanks to IGT that allowed their machines to be reproduced like this by Masque - a trust well placed in my mind. Just be aware that many/all ? of the reelspinners on this collection have been published earlier by Masque. What I dont like ? I miss the opportunity to enlarge the slotmachine so that the reels fill the screen. A positive thing is that you can choose between realistic payout percentage, and an unrealisticly high percentage. Also the way you add more credit to the slot you are currently playing is a bit longwinded and tedious, could have been made simpler. But all in all a very nice collection, and if you like slotmachines and the fun they can provide I believe you will enjoy IGT Slots: Texas Tea.

Some of our favorite slots are in this package. My favorites are Texas Tea, Lucky Lion Fish and Rich Girl, my husband likes Tailgate Party and Latino Machino. All games are very well reproduced in every detail, sound quality is excellent, you can win on these machines. We have Vista. The software was very easy to install, runs great and you don't need to keep the CD in the drive to play (I refuse to pay full price for a game, then have to keep the CD in the drive like I am doing something wrong, how backward and annoying). For me this is hours of entertainment for little money and well worth the price. Very highly recommended!!

IGT has done it again. I bought this because it had one of my favorite slot games on it; Lucky Lion Fish.
I was also familiar with Texas Tea and found it fun to play.
In fact ALL the games are right out of the real casino.
But I MUST warn you. Sit down at your computer to play Benny Big Game or Little Green Men Family Reunion and you might as well give up what ever you thought was your life as your family, friends or boss may never see you again.
This collection of IGT slots MUST be bought if you love their games as much as I do but do so at your own risk. :)

Little Green Men Family Reunion, Texas Tea and more Nov 19, 2009

I bought this slot game specifically for "Little Green Men - Family Reunion" and was thrilled when I got it and installed it. The game plays like the "reel" deal (sorry, I couldn't resist) and takes the edge off when you want to play but either don't have the bankroll or don't have a casino close by. This PC/Mac game actually can take the edge off.
The slots are extremely realistic but the sounds are not EXACTLY replicated. For example - with "Little Green Men - Family Reunion" triggers a bonus round that plays the song "We are Family" ... this is not so. My guess is that they cannot do the EXACT same things as they do on a casino floor and perhaps they could not get the rights for the song. But let me tell yah, I was THRILLED to have this game on my laptop(s) to get a little Vegas feel and work through the playing itch.
Lots of fun if you like slots. :)
