A lot of sound for not a lot of price Jun 18, 2007
By Robert Luzaire I got my Mega Mite back in 2003 and I've been enjoying it ever since.
The sturdy construction is durable enough to withstand the occasional butterfingers drop and the sound is loud enough to be heard a block away, or to allow conversation at a crowded restaurant (be aware that some restaurants do not allow megaphones even though there is no sign on the door letting you know that!)
This megaphone does have a couple drawbacks. First, if you turn the volume all the way up it can sometimes catch a squealing reverb. Second, the off position is in the middle of a sliding switch, and sometimes in your haste to turn off the megaphone you can go from Voice to Siren, which is very annoying and can make you feel stupid. Also be aware that the megaphone is not as large as what you see in police movies.
But if you want a cheap megaphone for fun with the kids or just to talk to your deaf grandpa, definitely pick up the Mega Mite!

Now my mom can hear me! Dec 26, 2008

I ordered this mini megaphone to use at home. My mother is hard of hearing but refuses (and can't afford) a hearing aid. When I am upstairs working on my computer and she's downstairs I use the megaphone to communicate with her and it works great. The siren button calls for her to pay attention and the megaphone projects my voice clearly and loud enough for her to hear and understand each word. She was a bit embarrassed at first, but now she's glad. It saves me a few trips up and down the stairs too. I love the Mega Mite Megaphone and would recommend this to anyone.

Used it on a school trip.... Dec 21, 2010
By WhizKid21 I was concerned this little megaphone was going to be more of a gimmick than a practical tool when I ordered it.
I used it on an outdoor high school class trip to wrangle the likes of 65 students between the ages of 14 and 16. Let me tell you, if I knew how well it worked, I would have bought it a lot sooner.
It probably won't work across a football field.... But this is a little megaphone that is not short on power, and makes for a great gimmick to boot.

Do you live with someone who's hard of hearing Dec 27, 2010
By Lorraine T Landers My mom and I live together. She has a hearing deficit and refuses to get hearing aids. She would be in another room, ask me a question and never hear my answer. I would have to stop my activity and go stand in front of her so she could understand my response. I purchased the MEGA MIGHT megaphone, explained what I wanted to use it for and it has solved my problem...she can hear me. It's a win win for both of us. Thank you.
