The Intova Strobe ISS 4000 was designed for digital cameras. By means of a small light slave sensor in the strobe body the strobe unit triggers in sync with the digital camera's internal flash. There is a connector so you can use a fiber optic cable.

Adjustable power output (10-100%).
4 pre-flash settings.
Powerful 42 watt-second flash-tube.
Guide Number: 20m (ISO 100) in air.
Uses 4 x AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable).

Intova ISS 4000 Underwater Slave Flash worked very well in my underwater cave pics. It is difficult to get good pics on your first underwater cave dive, but, I think I got a few. I reccomend the strobe, it works well. I cannot include a pic on this review, but, when they allow, I will.

Don't bother May 21, 2012

I bought this to use with a canon S95. When it works, it works fine, but that is pretty rare.
When it did work, the batteries would be dead by the end of a two tank dive, regardless of whether I took 100 pictures or none.
Some days it would just refuse to turn on, I think this has something to do with the battery compartment, as I figured out that adding a bit of foil to make the battery fit more firmly seemed to help.
This item failed at completely unpredictable times, and seemed to be out of commission more often than it was working.
