VirusBarrier X6 and eval programs Dec 17, 2010
By The Count 43 I just got my VirusBarrier X6, two user edition, in yesterday and I installed it today in my Mac Pro. Installing it was a breeze and it seems to be running well. Before installing the ViruBarrier X6 program it gave me an option to get an update before installing it. I should wait on this aspect to leave a detailed review on how it worked out for me; however, there are some comments that come to mind.
I skimmed over the manuals on the disc and it appeared to be easy to understand. On the disc I found six programs that included the anti-virus program. Five of the programs appeared to be be available for a 30 day trial evaluation period. I looked through the manuals for the five Eval Programs (Personal AntiSpam, Content Barrier, Personal Backup, FileGuard and Washing Machine). I decided to install four of them to try them out. I figured if I did not like them I would let the run out and I would delete those programs. I found that "FileGuard" program was expired and I could not use at all to evaluate it. The "Personal AntiSpam" program left gave me 29 days and I was given 27 days for the "Personal Backup" program. I don't recall what the" Washing Machine" program gave me for time for the Eval period, but I tend to only like that program out of all of the Eval program the best. I haven't figured out how to unload the programs yet, it did not give me any unseal information or Icon to help me out. Maybe it is on the disc manuals and I failed to find that information. I decided to not
I think the Anti-virus program would of been just fine without the trial programs that accompanied it. If I would have to do it again I would have not installed the evaluation trial programs. I don't see any benefit for me and now I have to uninstall them (thus only four stars at this time). Otherwise, the Anti-Virus program is running and doesn't seem to interfere with the computer speed.

The only Anti-Virus Software I'll use. Oct 11, 2010
By Corky I've had this virus software since it was version x4 and I'm very happy with it. It is always in the background and doesn't get in your way. Another thing about it is it now includes Net Barrier firewall software which I use to buy separately. All together a great package.

great buy Jul 29, 2010
By viz I have used this for a few weeks and it is very nice to use and the interface is easy to understand and there are a lot of options to go though. I like the features it comes with and the frequent updates for it's virus database as well as the two way firewall. It was worth the money.

I know that Mac's are more protected than Window PCs, however I feel more secure with this product, easy to install, easy to use and always running.
