Full featured orgamizer that works! Aug 05, 2010
By Curious Cyclist I have recently downloaded the Anytime Organizer Deluxe 12 from Amazon. After having used it for awhile, I can say that it does everything that it is suppose to do and appears to be stable. I know from reading the reviews of the CD-ROM version and previous versions that many users have been frustrated by bugs and installation issues. I can report that so far I have had no problems. This is part of the reason why I chose to download it from Amazon instead of purchasing a hard copy; I felt that I was likely to get the most current version with the bugs worked out (that, and it's significantly cheaper). I would strongly recommend updating the program when you first run it.
Having upgraded to Windows 7, I could no longer use my older version of Outlook and needed an affordable alternative that would keep my schedules, contacts, to do lists, notes and the like and sync it all with my Pocket PC. (There are many syncing options to choose from when installing for the first time, such as Pocket PC, Palm, various phones, etc.) The Organizer has many options when syncing that allow me to manage exactly what I need to have between my calender and PDA. Having decided to give version 12 a try, I'm glad I did. I find it to be full-featured and easy to use. Once I got the hang of the interface, I believe I actually like this better than Outlook. Of course, it's simpler in many ways but that's a plus for me. Tasks like making re-occuring appointments and adding new catagories are very easy. It has many nice features like an expense record, daily journal entry, schedule ticker, password organizer, and the ability to print info in various page formats. Also, something that I did not expect, If I want to send an email from the contacts screen all I have to do is click on the contact and then the email button, and it automatically opens up my email program and selects a new message to the chosen contact. That may not seem like much to some, but for me that's a multi-step process that I no longer have to go through.
As with anything, there are some things I would like to see it do better. It doesn't always read appointment info and times correctly from the PDA and I often have to manually correct some data. The interface screens are a little simplistic looking and doesn't have the sharp professional look that Outlook has. Things like that.
All in all, I am very pleased to be able to sync my schedule and contact info with my PDA again and to have an integrated desktop scheduling system that meets my needs. All for a very affordable price. I'm happy.

Not at all pleased Nov 17, 2009
By Lady R I purchased this product to replace my Daytimer, which would not install on Windows 7. The screen fonts are small and difficult to read. The category assignments color the address entries in random ways. When I asked tech support for a refund based on their Satisfaction Guaranteed I was told that they only guarantee that the product will install correctly -- that readable screen fonts are a desired feature -- not a program requirement. Tech support can only be reached by e-mail and response is hit and miss. They answered 2 of 4 of my inquiries, and one of those responses did not address the issue I asked. Although they publish a tech support phone number, you only get a recording, and after several days my phone call has still not been returned. I haven't (and won't) try their other features as I will be uninstalling this program. Very disappointing!

My insights about AnyTime Organizer Apr 26, 2008
By L. J. Silva

Hello,
As a freelance translator, I just do not know how I could manage dealing with such a great deal of tight deadlines, appointments, and tasks without this wonderful personal and business organizer before. I have clients in different parts of the world. Well, this application allows me to create a customized clock so that I know exactly what time a translation work should be delivered in a certain country. It can remind me of literally everything I need to do by means of alarms, e-mails sent to whomever I decided it should be sent to, helps me control my expenses, and I can even copy and paste any reminder from anywhere. Instead of trying to look for an important event e-mail, I can just copy and paste it to my daily agenda and... voilĂ ! What about the password section? Today, with so many passwords to remember everywhere, I may choose to make a list of my passwords (and they are not visible to anyone; rather, they are showed as asterisks, for safety purposes, of course). I do enjoy those handy sticky notes and the schedule tickers. The latter shows a continuous line as if I were in the New York Stock Exchange reminding of any important event. Well, most of appointments are that important. So, why risk losing thousands of dollars trusting in my own memory if I have such an impressive tool to reach my goals? I now have my personal assistant. I just cannot imagine working without organization and this is what AnyTime Organizer does for me. I can schedule literaaly and virtually anything anytime. There so many features to be used. I have discovered the ones I have described here after using the program for two days only. It is worth the small investment indeed. I can assure you and I hope anyone seeking more organization can benefit of AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 12! It's risk-free. Try it! Your organization skills and performance have never had this chance of being enhanced before. Apart from this, you can really count on their technical support. Matt Moran is such a highly qualified profesional. My doubts vanished in no time! Individual Software is really there when you need them.

Crashed, Failed to Thrive Jan 09, 2009
By Steve Lawson My beloved Lotus Organizer will not work on 64-bit Vista and AnyTime looked pretty close. Indeed, it installed beautifully on both my Vista and XP machines. I couldn't find an AnyTime equivalent to the LO "Anniversary" feature, but eventually found a fairly awkward way to enter annually repeating notations that didn't require entry of the current year. Unfortunately, when I followed the directions, the click-on-the-button date entry failed to operate.
Worse, as I was exploring the program, it crashed multiple times on both machines.
Don't doubt that some users find it useful, but my limited use revealed it to be klugey and fragile. Uninstalled.
Would welcome any recommendations from persons replacing their Lotus Organizer on 64-bit Vista. Many thanks, and good luck.

One crash after the other! Nov 28, 2009
By R. Brown

I am running brand new Dell with only Office 07 and anti-virus loaded. This program crashes every third time you open it. I was looking for an alternative to Outlook because it lacks a lot of features, but while the concept behind this AnyTime is nice, the "programmers" need to go back to school for a long time.
You can't return to Amazon once it's been opened and the fine print on the box says "...if for any reason within 30 days of purchase, we cannot ensure the software will work on your system, will will gladly replace, exchange it for another product, or refund your money" SO NOT REALLY FOR "ANY REASON". Only if you're willing to deal with their tech support for a month, including have you make changes to your system, then you might get a refund.
You've been warned.
