I love it! Aug 26, 2008
By Cristy Sanders This product is a great buy. It is cheaper than the KitchenAid brand, but is just as good, if not better. The three year warranty gives you peace of mind much more than the one year warranty offered by KitchenAid. My husband and I went back and forth on whether or not we would purchase a stand mixer because he didn't think we needed it, but I knew I would use it. Since purchase I've used it a couple of times a week or more, it is very handy, easy to use, and works wonderfully. I have no reservations about recommending this product to anyone!

much better than KitchenAid Feb 11, 2009

Hi,
After searching in internet, reading numerous reviews, and checking with Consumer Reports and BBB, I changed my mind getting KitchenAid and switched to Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer. I have it now, I purchased it in a store. It has great features for 4.5 qt: 400 watt, 12 speeds, all metal made, and 3 year warranty!!! comparing 1 year in KitchenAid with 10 speeds and 250 watt for 4.5 qt. I am very pleased with Hamilton's QUIET performance even at the higher speed. It's in fact quieter than my hand mixer and has a friendly sound. I didn't scrape any single time when making the 3.5 c dough.
It's slightly bigger than KitchenAid, about 1 inch higher, but it's somehow lighter and easy to move on counter. Easy to use, the head tilts back by pressing back button smoothly. The bowl sits reliably.
I am endlessly happy that I got Hamilton instead of KitchenAid.
This is the best stand mixer so far!!! Even if it more expensive than KitchenAid, I would still get Hamilton Beach.

Surprisingly Happy Apr 25, 2009

I bought this mixer as the floor model from Sam's Club, at a great price. It was missing the pouring shield, and the instruction book. I've been very pleased with it's performance, and don't feel at all like I sold out my dream of a Kitchenaid 5 plus 5. I'm most impressed with their customer service. I called and told them about the missing items, and they told me where to get the intruction manual online, and immediately shipped me the splatter guard (which I already had) and pouring shield, no questions asked. I've never had Kitchenaid service like that. I'm very impressed.

Great Mixer!!! Feb 19, 2011
By over 40 Do not be brain washed by brand fantasy. This mixer is the best buy by consumer magazines. The price can't be beat. It mixes to the bottm of the bowl. Just add liquids first. A Real Winner!!!

Great Workhorse for the Kitchen Mar 18, 2012
By Terrance R. NEAL I bought this mixer for one purpose: to bake bread. Yes, I have used it for whipping cream and mixing cakes, but the majority of its' work is a mixer for my bread. I don't just make plain bread either. I make fruit and nut breads which I often mix into the dough by hand before the final proof but I also bake breads where I add these ingredients to the dough in the mixer itself. Believe me, I've pushed it and pushed it hard. A year later it's still running and bread dough is hard on a machine when that's all you do. I have actually pushed it too far and the motor was giving off a slight smell of electric, but that was my fault for over-mixing. One time I was making a heavy dough and had the machine too close to the edge of the counter. I left the room with the mixer running and I suddenly heard a bang! The mixer had vibrated off the counter onto the floor. Was it ruined? Not a bit. I picked it up and placed it back on the counter. That was 8 months ago and it's still running great. Don't be fooled by the advertising and do research on ratings. This is a great machine. The only drawback is the lack of some attachments, but if I had a choice, I'd take this machine. The chef at the community college said they got rid of all their Kitchen Aids because they couldn't handle the intense workload of students; this machine can. I really like it.
