Mine kept quitting halfway through Nov 16, 2011
By Zamanon This kit came with an ethernet crossover cable. During the first few attempts at transferring, the link would be lost after a few minutes. I fiddled with the network settings and thought I had fixed it. I think that turning off DHCP IP addressing and setting the PCs' IP addresses to specific values were what fixed it. Then I started the transfer but it mysteriously quit about 50GB in. It seemed a bit slow too. I was only trying to transfer files and not applications. My hardware and associated drivers are working fine - speed test results are always 50 to 100 Mbps on both PC's. After the software quits, for whatever reason, it tells you to completely start over. It does not have the capability to recover an interrupted process.
I gave up on this program after three tries and used an external hard drive to relay everything.
Don't buy this product.

Allowed transfer of most of my software and files Nov 08, 2011
By Wallace Webster

This software kit allowed me to transfer most of my software and files from my old XP computer to my new Windows 7 machine. I would have rated it as a 5 except the documentation didn't have clear enough instructions as to which settings needed to be transferred also. The purchase from the vendor was very good and I would buy from this vendor again.
