Karaoke - Good for Home Use Apr 14, 2010
By B. Temple The Magic Sing Et19k is a good machine for home use. The set up is easy. It can be plugged directly into your television or into a integrated stereo with your television. The selection of songs that come with the unit is pretty good with a mix of classic songs and modern day songs. The expansion slot makes it easy to add more songs of different genres.
The sound quality is good with no feed back problems. The two microphones can be used simultaneously for duets and the sound quality remains good. The music is sometimes slow or fast, so songs will often require adjustment in speed, key, etc.
Overall is a great machine for home. The only thing that would make the machine better would be more realistic background music for the songs. It's hard to sing 3 Doors Down when the music sounds like it belongs in an elevator. The more classic songs, i.e. Sinatra, Beetles, are less effected by the elevator music effect.
We had a party the same day that the unit arrived.

Get friends, family together again!. Jan 02, 2011
By D. Negron I went to a Christmas party and friends had this karaoke system. I Was hooked and got my own. Wow! What fun. This is the best way to get family and friends together. You can have family night and sing the night away. Over 2000 songs built in plus free chip with 255 more songs. You can add more song chips and increase your song library. You don't have to get up to change the songs just enter the song number and there's your song. People say the song chips are expensive. But you get lots of songs on a chip. One cd with 15 or so songs can cost you 25 to 30$. So I think the chips are great, at least for me. So easy to take with you and start karaokeing.

Great machine for a great time! Nov 21, 2011
By JohnnyMD My wife loves singing karaoke so I decided to get her a machine so she can invite people over or so we can sing together when we are bored. I researched several machines and found this brand to be the best. Here are my two reasons why:
Simplicity:
I like Entertech because of the fact that the whole system is just 2 microphones and the stand. That's it! No large machine to clutter up your living room. Just plug it into your TV and turn it on! I have a sound system so I hook it up to the Receiver and TV but it is a real simple connection.
NO CD'S:
No CD's! I wanted a machine where I didn't have to buy tons of CD+G discs and have to change the CD to find her favorite songs. Entertech's song chip system is truly amazing for that. The 19K comes with 2500 songs and I bought an extra Japanese song chip for kicks. Searching through the menu is really easy. You can search a song by the title, by the singer, or by the number listed in the song-book. Searching Japanese songs is tougher, though. They don't go in alphabetical order so we just scroll to find the ones that she knows (this won't be a problem for most of you who will not be buying a foreign language chip.)
I've read in one (or maybe a few) review(s) that the music is kind of cheesy/electric. To be honest, that's to be expected for a sub $400 unit. Plus, this is for home use so you don't need it to be spot on. Trust me, you'll have fun regardless (and your friends will have fun too!)
All in all, I'm very impressed with this unit. The song choices are vast and varied. I had a party recently and everyone had a great time singing. One thing you will need, though, is a speaker system. This will make your singing experience much more exciting and it will transform a small karaoke experience to a sound stage.

Better sound. Apr 05, 2011
By Truthaholic The mic is so much better then the previous model that we have which is the ED11000. However, wish it had more slots for the chips. It does not hold as much as the ED11000 so we often exchange it when we need to. The sound has improved for this model. It does feel like you are in a studio. That could be because of my new speakers maybe. =)

Not bad! Nov 05, 2011
By Joy Pablo All these magic mic systems in general dont have the best quality. If you were to compare it to the laser karaoke machines, you would truly notice the difference...the timing, the sound quality, etc. But if I was to compare this system to other magic mics, this is probably up there. There are a lot of songs to choose from but mostly from the 70's,80's and some 90's. You can change up the tempo if it's too fast & you can lower the pitch if it's too high for you. It gives you a rating of how you do (based on projection of your voice), It's just a lot of fun to have at parties. This is why I still give it 4 stars!
