Decent travel case Sep 15, 2010

The good thing about this travel case is that it's hard shell case that is thinner than others, which is a plus when we have so much other things to carry in our bags.
The things i don't like about this case is that the pocket to hold the misc items (i.e. stylus, games) is not secure. The stylus often floats freely around the case (when closed and zipped) that it easily falls out of the case upon opening. In fact, we almost lost the stylus a few times.
The part that holds the actual game console fits nicely. There's a little room around the sides, such that the console would still fit even with the CM4 case. However with the CM4 case, there's not much room in this case for the charger.

The case seems to protect the device well. It feels sturdy, well-made, it doesn't "look" cheap and the price is very competitive. It actually makes the DS XL not seem as large as it is (the entire case could still fit in my cargo pockets! Granted my pockets are pretty large). For this reason, I give it 4 stars (trying to be as unbiased as possible).
Unfortunately I need a case where I can fit my headphones since I like playing DS outside a lot. However, the headphones, even when stored flat inside the pocket, would press against the DSi's lid and scratch it. This is why I don't give it 5 stars, and for my purposes, I would give it only 2 or 3 stars. Simple solution for this is to store the DSi facing down if you still just want a slimmer case. I returned it because I prefer something a little bigger that will allow me to fit my headphones easily and without much thought and possibly the charger. I will try DSi XL Ultimate Travel Case - Black because of the good reviews, but I bet it is a lot bigger than this one. I guess with the DSi XL you can't have it both ways! Still, I love my DSi XL and I hope I can find a good case for it.
In conclusion, I would have given this product 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that the inside pocket is not very useful. If you don't mind that, and you want the slimmest DSi XL case available right now then this case is for you.

There honestly haven't been many stroage cases that've been available for the Nintendo DSi XL, since it came out earlier this year. Yet, with those few that have came out, they have definitely been worth the money. This one is one of those that also fits the mold. The DSi XL Travel EVA Case is a simple and convient way to hold your Nintendo DSi XL, with convience, a simple and laid out pocket to securely hold your DSi stylus pens, and extra games and adapters for safetly when you need them. It really is worth the money, and is sleek and stylish for any gamer in hand and on the go. I absolutely think this is a great buy for anyone whom wants the best in their Nintendo DSi XL.

It is slimmer than most cases and is still a nice firm shell to protect very well. I really like that I can just fit it into my jacket picket and zipper it up. My wife like that this one can fit in her purse without being too bulky. I really wanted a thinner case that offered protection, had a strap, and could fit some games and a stylus. This nearly perfectly delivers.
It perfectly fits the XL and a slim hard case of 3 games, and reasonably fits the the big XL stylus. It snugly fits the XL in the bottom half. The top half has netting that can hold 1 XL stylus and a 3-pack hard case of games. The stylus isn't quite a perfect fit. But just put it it in first at the bottom of the netting and when you fold the case close it folds & zippers well and doesn't add a pressure point to the middle of the case. I just put my 3-pack game case on top of it in the netting.
It does *not* have any room for headphones, ear buds, AC charger, car charger, or thicker game cases. I just tote my ear buds in its own pouch in my pocket. My wife just totes ear buds in their pouch separately in her purse. I just need the power adapter accessible if I need to charge which doesn't have to be always with it. There is no way you can fit the AC adapter pictured on the box. When I do serious traveling, I take a thicker case to fit more games and my ear buds pouch. But my wife still prefers this and to just put the ear phones separately. But when I go to the doctor's office, this is the one I take to use while waiting.
So it certainly isn't the case for everything. Consider your needs and how much bulk you want to carry on your person or in one case.
