windshield cover, no more scrapping ice Dec 02, 2010
By briones really works well, easy to install and easy to uninstall. only complaint is that it is like a wet umbrella after it does it's job... but i'll take having a "wet umbrella" in my car rather than standing outside freezing while i scrap ice off my windshield or while i wait for it to defrost so i can see to drive safely.

A Good Design and It Works May 10, 2011
By J. Simcox I like this product. It protects the windshield from frost so you don't have to clean it off in the morning. It has held up well over the past winter. I like the integrated storage bag that is part of the design. Installing it, however, is a real nuisance.
The cover is held in place by 4 elastic straps with plastic clips. You have to lay it over the windshield, and if there is any wind, you need to close the door on one side to trap the straps so it won't blow out of position while you go around to the other side of the car to route the straps on that side into the passenger compartment. Once the straps are inside the passenger compartment, you fasten them together to keep the cover in position. I takes several minutes to install it, and on a cold wintry night, it's no fun.
I've been trying to figure out a way to install some mating clips on the posts on the left/right sides of the windshield (inside the passenger compartment) so the cover can be fastened without the ordeal mentioned above. Maybe the manufacturer can use this tip to improve the design.

very very small Jan 30, 2011

I purchased this item for my son's car - a Honda Fit. The protector barely covers half the windshield. Not very practical to "hook", but that is a minor problem. Yes, the parts that are covered are well-protected. But make sure your car is TINY...

Too small; bottom strap cannot be used Dec 26, 2010
By W. Zhu There was no size information during purchase. After its arrival, I just noticed how small it is. I have a mini van. Although on the package it says to fit most cars and vans, it doesn't fit van at all. In addition, if you clip the bottom straps inside the car, they are too close to the upper straps and the cover looks awkward and becomes useless.

It doesn't cover the entire windshield of either car, but it covers enough to see to drive safely without having to scrape the windshield.
