i love it !! Jan 15, 2009
By Casi B. Clark I bought this curling iron a few days ago at target .. and i LOVE it!!
I always thought that my hair just didn't curl. Well this curling iron proved to me that my hair DOES curl with the right iron!! I like the fact that you can adjust the heating temperature up to 400 degrees and the lights on the side are a neat little extra. [plus it's pink .. hello!]
Before, I had the problem of my hair just a.) not curling at all or b.) when it did semi curl, it just didnt last more than 10 minutes until it left my hair looking a rough mess.
I've used this iron for 2 days now and yesterday the curls lasted all day!! From 7AM when I curled it to 8PM when I showed my hair still had curl. Granted it didnt look exactly like it did 13 hours prior, but it was still cute and curly.
I've been using this in conjuntion with John Freida's Thermal Curling Spray and maybe that helps some as well :)
This product is hot and ready to use almost instantly. Literally takes no time to heat up.
I recommend this to everyone! Especially those of you like me whose hair would never keep a curl!

Loved it, until it died on me. Jul 11, 2009
By Amy Cox I spent a small fortune on one of these at Target about a year ago, and I loved it. The twist-free cord was the best part, and I also loved the temperature adjustment and the way it fit in my hand.
Unfortunately, after one year of light use, it died on me while I was halfway through curling my hair. I have never been more frustrated with a styling product. (I suppose it simply overheated, although it was only plugged in for about half an hour).
Now that it's down to $15, I'll likely buy another one to hold me over until I can find one with staying power.
And for those of you complaining that it didn't hold a curl? Use some gel, and raise the temperature, or it's likely that your hair just doesn't want to curl. Don't blame a curling iron for something that is out of it's power!
Small note: it stains easily if you use products on your hair. I attempted to clean it, but no luck.

works great even on long hair May 15, 2009

I have long thick hair and this curling iron gives me bouncy curls that last forever! I did my hair with it yesterday (and it looked fabulous) not only did the curls last the rest of the day, but I woke up with morning and my hair looked utterly the same! Even when you brush through it, the curls don't come out.
For best results for lasting curls, I would use a supplementary product (I use Ganier Frutise 'wonder waves' because it's light and flexible while holding a curl forever!) along with the curling iron to make your curls last longer.
I personally like the lights on the iron telling you if the curling iron is on instead of a tiny little red light like usual, because my nephew often runs into my bathroom and it makes it easier to know if the iron is on or not.

Great Curling Irons for many hair textures... May 05, 2011
By Sharon I really loved these curling irons... I love the design, the color and the lights. I have never seen curling irons this attractive. As for the function...I am an African-American young woman with relaxed hair. My hair is very thick and sometimes dry. These curling irons preserved the moisture in my hair and straightened my hair smoothly without damage. The grip on it is not very tight but if you hold your finger under the handle and push up when you use it, you can increase the tighness of the grip. This was okay with me because some curlers that hold your hair too tight also pull you hair out and damage it. These curlers get very hot (up to 400 degrees)but there is no indicator to tell you when the curlers are fully heated and I had to hold the curlers in a little longer than usual for the curl to hold in my hair...these are the only reasons I gave these curlers a 4 instead of a 5. Overall, I loved this curling iron... it left my hair feeling silky and smooth and did not dry it out. It also left my hair with plenty body. I highly recommend them, especially for the price.

By Chelsea E. Smith Great Curling Iron! Keep my hair from getting fried because of the tourmaline nano-cermaic technology and also the curls stay longer! (and my hair is pin straight naturally)
