Not for left-handed kids Jan 25, 2011
By Toy Reviewer and Car Seat Guru Dont be fooled into thinking that these scissors are truly for left-handed kids. The handles may be molded to fit either hand. But in order to be truly left handed scissors, the blades must be reversed. It's physically impossible to make ambidexterous scissors. Hold the scissors open in front of you, with the blade pointing away from you and one handle in each hand. If the blade on top is coming from your left hand, then they are truly left-handed scissors. If it's on the right, then they simply won't cut well when used left handed. The natural cutting action of the hand will push the blades apart rather than together and the paper will slip between the blades - very frustrating for a preschooler who is learning to use scissors. If you're looking for scissors for your left-handed child, don't waste your money on these!

Best there is! Sep 27, 2009
By c2 It says in the product review about that this pair is the most recommended by teachers. They're not kidding either. If you're looking for something that is easier for children to manipulate, especially those in kindergarten and preschool, be SURE to buy these! They hold up so very well, are more comfortable in their hands, and they just work so much better than those cheaper store brands. We've had these for quite a few years and I can't say enough good about them. They even work great when you're sewing and need to cut a thread or two! Highly recommend!

Best for your pre-schoolers Oct 21, 2009
By Nuknuk Pros: - Great quality (construction and details) product, great brand (Fiskar). - Blunt tip for child's safety - Not dangerously sharp but cuts perfectly on papers, strings, even cardboard. Blades are perfectly aligned. Actually useful for many household chores. - Rust resistant - Handles are well suited for little hands
Cons: - A little pricy (but you can find it on sale for 99 cents a piece at certain times. If you do, grab a couple or more)

I purchased these scissors for my 3 year old and he loves them. They fit comfortably in either hand and cut very smoothly. No complaints.

Perfect for toddlers Jul 18, 2011
By TIM LINDEN I've got a 3 and 4 yr old and they love these scissors. My only flaw was in ordering only 2. We've already lost a pair. Now they fight over the last remaining one! But back to the review, they are high quality, easy to use, and the tip is round so they aren't stabbing each other. In other words, if you need scissors for kids just buy them and quit reading reviews already.
