A must have for painters May 20, 2010
By Kay Hayes

My husband purchased respirators for both of us when we got ready to paint the interior of our house. First of all, a respirator is WAY more comfortable to wear than those paper masks. Second, the disposable filters keep all the nasty VOC's out of your lungs. I wouldn't paint without them.

It's 3M..... Jun 21, 2009
By Sumtruck I work on boats for a living and deal with 2-part polyurethane paints and fiberglass all day long. You can't go wrong with 3M.

Excellent product! Dec 23, 2011
By CalGuY I purchased these for my respirator, and I can't thank 3M enough for creating them. I use them for painting (shellac, lacquer, urethane, etc), and stripping of furniture. Although we work in a well ventilated area, there isn't even a hint of chemical smell of any kind when breathing through these, no matter how close to the project I have had to get to see something.
Note: If using sporadically, it is best to put them on, use them for a project, then take them off as soon as you're done and put them in an air tight bag until next use. I heard this will keep them from reacting with the open air, which would cause them to be used up after only a few days.
My friends use these exact cartridges as well, and we all enjoy the product, as well as their pink air filters for sanding dust, drywall dust, working with insulation, etc.

An effective filter epoxies and CA glues Oct 14, 2011
By Music_lover I build model airplanes and use various glues which are irritating to my lungs and nose. Having tried various filters for my 3M respirator, this one works the best. All the filters seem to reduce their effectiveness after about 8 hours of use. I would have them a 5 for effectiveness and 3 for longevity.

GREAT! Apr 02, 2012
By C. Fuller The first time I used it I was grinding metal. Turns there was an awsome person in the kitchen making BACON! I LOVE BACON. I worked away till I was done with the project and removed the mask and the bacon smell hit me in the face. Made my day for two reasons, one: there was bacon! Two: they worked great, if I couldn't smell the bacon then they must be easily filtering the metal dust I am trying to stay safe from.
